From Poland to Paris to Tel Aviv, "Voyages" is an intimate and personal story of the quests of three women whose lives and intertwining destinies create a ... Full Descriptionmoving and poignant story of survival. This drama is directed by Emmanuel Finkiel. Also **d is a featurette, theatrical trailer, and scene selection. The holocaust continues to cast a dark shadow over humankind and the Jewish community in particular. Emmanuel Finkiel's VOYAGES pays eloquent respect to the survivors of the atrocities by weaving a stirring narrative around three women who managed to escape Hitler and his henchmen with their lives intact. Set in different countries, Finkiel allows her cameras to slowly flesh out the stories of these three remarkably different souls who share an unfortunate bond. As their lives slowly intersect, a compassionate tale unwinds, leaving behind a gently stirring tale that is an interesting meditation on the postwar lives of holocaust survivors. This is the only Emmanuel Finkiel video. The Last Train Tuesday 5 December 2006. "The fact that there were Jews still living in Berlin as late as 1943 was an affront to Nazi decency and so Goebbels decided to make Berlin ’Judenfrei’ as a birthday present to his Fuhrer. (IMG:http://www.judaicultures.info/IMG/arton734.jpg) THE LAST TRAIN focuses on four families as the train ride takes them through their last vestiges of hope; through the conflicts to attempt or not to attempt an escape; through the realization that every moment now is perhaps their last and therefore that this time of horror, hunger, thirst and degradation might also be the most precious of their lives. The present is contrasted with a series of flashbacks that bring alive the richness of their lives before the rise of the Third Reich. Their memories and love for each other are inviolate even as the last train approaches the gates of Auschwitz."
